I would like to share my immediate reaction to the news of the
American airliner that landed safely in the Hudson river. I saw it as a sacrifice on the part
of the geese to awaken humanity to the potential danger of
air flight in petrol based machines.

We are told by teachers from the last century that as the rain rises through the air it is blessed
and filled with pure divine energies by angelic forces. We can only speculate on the danger that petrol fumes
represents to these agencies of Nature.

Even at the simplest level we can appreciate that with each flight we fill the air with more fumes from highly volatile aviation fuel. We are drenching the atmosphere in this
and face the danger of reaching a flashpoint which will set light to the atmosphere.
If that happens the entire family of oxygen breathing lifeforms becomes endangered.

With the sky alight we will have nowhere to run. Nor will the birds, the trees and all the surface dwelling creatures.

Additionally the pilot is receiving great praise for the way he handled the situation, and indeed deservedly so.
But oft overlooked is the role of the devic forces that overlight the airports and the role of the birds in connection with the human kingdom.
I have written elsewhere of the protective attitude birds adopt towards us, an almost parental concern, as they fly suddenly in front of our cars to cause us to drive more carefully, and other ways.
If I am right in this, as a conscious sacrifice by those birds
to awaken humanity, it is also likely that it was made in the spirit of caring, accepting the danger of injury to save a struggling ignorant child. The entire description of the landing is so characteristic of the manner in which a goose would land on the water.
Subsequently a friend sent this youtube video in reply.
